Travel to the park and take an afternoon game drive if arrival time allows.
Ishasha
Morning game viewing, transfer south and an afternoon search for lions.
Final Drive and Return
Explore Ishasha early before the return to Kampala or Entebbe.
Queen Elizabeth wildlife and Ishasha tree-climbing lions
Discover 2 contrasting areas of Queen Elizabeth National Park on this private 3 day safari. Begin in the central park area before travelling south to Ishasha, where open plains and large trees provide a different game-viewing setting.
Search for elephants, buffaloes, Uganda kob and predators on the savannah. In Ishasha, scan the branches and surrounding grassland for lions. They do not rest in trees every day, so your guide will search both the ground and suitable trees.
The Ishasha overnight provides an afternoon drive and another opportunity early the following morning. With long transfers on the first and final days, the trip suits travellers comfortable with a compact road safari. Explore our Uganda safari collection for longer wildlife journeys.

1 night at Mweya Safari Lodge or Elephant Hab Lodge, followed by 1 night at Ishasha Wilderness Camp or Embogo Lodges.
Kampala or Entebbe to Queen Elizabeth National Park
After an early breakfast, meet your BLS Safaris driver guide and travel southwest towards Queen Elizabeth National Park . Stop for lunch along the route before continuing towards the Albertine Rift Valley.
Arrive at your selected lodge and check in. If enough daylight remains, head out for a short afternoon game drive. Search the savannah for elephants, buffaloes, Uganda kob, warthogs and predators such as lions and leopards.
Return to the lodge for dinner and prepare for tomorrow's early drive. If the road journey runs late, settle in on arrival and begin game viewing the following morning.
Queen Elizabeth Morning Game Drive and Transfer to Ishasha
After an early breakfast, take a morning game drive in the central park area. Watch for wildlife moving across the plains and woodland edges before returning to your lodge to check out.
Continue south towards Ishasha, with lunch arranged along the route. After checking into your selected lodge, head out for an afternoon game drive in the southern sector.
Search the large trees for resting lions while scanning the surrounding grassland. Lions also rest on the ground or remain hidden in vegetation, so sightings are not guaranteed. Look for elephants, buffaloes, topi and other wildlife as you explore the tracks.
Return to your lodge in the evening for dinner and your overnight in Ishasha.
Early Ishasha Game Drive and Return to Kampala or Entebbe
Have an early breakfast and set out for a short final drive in Ishasha. Search for lions and other wildlife, checking promising trees and areas you did not cover the previous afternoon.
Leave Ishasha promptly after the drive for the long return journey to Kampala or Entebbe. Stop for lunch and comfort breaks along the route.
On arrival, your guide will drop you at your agreed hotel or residence. Airport drop-off can be arranged when your flight schedule leaves enough time for the journey and airport check-in.
