Trip overview

This 14-day Uganda Wildlife and Gorilla Safari takes you from the remote savannah of Kidepo Valley to the forests of Bwindi, with plenty of wildlife and scenery in between. The journey starts in Kidepo, continues through Murchison Falls, Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary and Queen Elizabeth National Park, then heads south to Bwindi for the gorilla trek before ending beside the peaceful waters of Lake Bunyonyi. You’ll have 2 full days to explore Kidepo, with game drives across its open plains and rugged valleys. From there, the safari continues to Murchison Falls for game drives and a boat cruise on the Nile, followed by a stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary where you can track southern white rhinos on foot. In Queen Elizabeth National Park, the safari continues with game drives and a boat cruise before heading into Bwindi for one of Uganda’s most memorable experiences, trekking through the forest in search of mountain gorillas. After the trek, the pace slows down at Lake Bunyonyi. It is a relaxed way to finish the safari, giving you time to enjoy the lake and unwind after days of game drives, long journeys and the gorilla trek.
