Kampala or Entebbe to Queen Elizabeth National Park
After breakfast, meet your BLS Safaris driver guide and travel west towards Queen Elizabeth National Park . Pass through towns, farmland and changing countryside, stopping for lunch along the route.
Allow approximately 7 to 8 hours including stops, with additional time for traffic, road conditions and your lodge location. Arrive in the late afternoon, check in and settle into your accommodation.
Spend the rest of the day relaxing. Your guide will confirm arrangements for tomorrow's first game drive.
Morning and Afternoon Game Drives in Kasenyi
Rise early for your first game drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park. Explore the savannah during the cooler morning hours, watching for elephants, buffaloes, Uganda kob, lions and other wildlife.
Your guide will scan the grassland and woodland edges, stopping at fresh tracks and animal activity. Leopards also inhabit the park, although sightings take patience and are not guaranteed.
Return to the lodge for a rest and lunch before heading out again in the afternoon. Continue exploring the Kasenyi Plains, with time to watch grazing herds and follow promising sightings.
If the schedule and access conditions allow, include a crater viewpoint for a look across the park's volcanic landscape. Return to your lodge in the evening.
Morning Game Drive and Kazinga Channel Boat Cruise
After breakfast, head out for another game drive. Your guide will choose tracks according to wildlife activity, exploring a different area or returning to a promising location.
Watch for elephants moving between feeding areas, buffaloes gathering in herds and antelopes grazing across the plains. Return to the lodge for lunch before your afternoon Kazinga Channel boat safari .
The channel connects Lake George and Lake Edward. From the boat, watch hippos in the shallows and Nile crocodiles resting along the banks. Look for buffaloes and elephants near the water and scan the shoreline for pelicans, kingfishers, fish eagles and other waterbirds.
Enjoy the change of pace on the water before returning to your lodge for your final safari evening.
Queen Elizabeth National Park to Kampala or Entebbe
After breakfast, check out and begin the return drive to Kampala or Entebbe. Travel through the countryside, with lunch and comfort stops arranged along the route.
