Kampala or Entebbe to Murchison Falls National Park
After breakfast, meet your BLS Safaris driver guide and travel north towards Murchison Falls National Park . Pass through towns, farmland and changing countryside before reaching the park. Your guide will arrange lunch around the day's drive and arrival time.
In the afternoon, visit the Top of Murchison Falls. Follow the viewpoints above the gorge, where the Nile surges between the rocks. Listen to the roar of the water and watch the spray rising above the river.
Continue to your selected lodge, check in and settle in for the evening. Your guide will confirm arrangements for tomorrow's full-day game drive.
Full-Day Game Drive in Murchison Falls National Park
Have an early breakfast and leave the lodge for a full day of game viewing . Explore the park's savannah tracks, watching giraffes feed among the trees and scanning the grassland for elephants, buffaloes, Uganda kob and hartebeest.
Your guide will also search for lions and leopards, checking animal movements and stopping at promising areas. Sightings determine the pace, with time to watch behaviour and take photographs. Big cat sightings are not guaranteed.
Pause for a picnic lunch at a suitable designated stop before continuing the drive. Return to your lodge in the evening for dinner and relaxation.
Morning Nile Boat Cruise and Optional Sport Fishing
After breakfast, transfer to the boarding point for your morning Nile boat safari . The planned departure is around 9 am, returning around midday, with the final schedule confirmed when the cruise is booked.
Travel upstream towards the base of Murchison Falls. Watch hippos gathered in the water and crocodiles resting along the banks. Scan the shoreline for elephants and buffaloes coming to drink, and look for kingfishers, fish eagles and other waterbirds.
As you approach the falls, the river narrows between the cliffs and the sound of rushing water grows louder. Enjoy the downstream view before returning to the landing point.
Return to your lodge for lunch. Spend the afternoon relaxing or arrange an optional sport-fishing excursion on the Nile. Fishing is separately charged and requires advance confirmation of availability, equipment and applicable permits.
Morning Game Drive and Return to Kampala or Entebbe
Head out early for your final game drive. Follow fresh wildlife activity and revisit promising areas, watching for animals feeding and moving across the plains. Your guide will plan the drive around the return journey and your agreed drop-off.
After the game drive, leave Murchison Falls and travel south towards Kampala or Entebbe. Stop for lunch and comfort breaks along the route before continuing to your hotel or Entebbe International Airport.
Airport drop-off depends on a suitable flight departure time. Share your onward travel details before confirming the safari so the final day's drive can be planned properly.
